Oxlade-Chamberlain Wants Arsenal Move ASAP
Arsenal’s pursuit of Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could soon be finalised after the player’s father admitted his son’s desire to sign for the Gunners.
As reported by wearethenorthbank.com last week, Arsene Wenger is determined to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain but Saints Chairman Nicola Cortese is still determined to sell only if a 40 per cent sell-on clause is included in the deal.
Mark Chamberlain, the ex-England winger, stated that his son is desperate to finalise a deal as soon as possible.
“We want Alex to get to Arsenal as soon as possible and continue his development,” said Chamberlain.
“Alex is still developing but there’s no better place to develop than at Arsenal and the Premier League.”
Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
so that means he won’t be joining then..
Dan……..grow up man! AFC have probably arranged everything but the financials with Southhampton…he’ll be a Gunner this summer for certain as he is inexpensive, young, talented and has a great attitude about going to us. Are you one of those pitiful Gloomers and doomers, moaners and groaners who boo their own team at he Emirates?
Surely he will sign except 4 the crazy 40% sell-on clause. He’s a player 4 the future. I wonder how defensers will cope with his pace and that of Walcott and Miyiachi.
Wise up Dan we will get this guy if this report is correct, and I have seen the interview, his dad is very confident about Alex and the way arsenal handle youngsters like wallcott wilshere etc. I believe the attacking aspect of our team will be very good next year if ryo and Alex, that is if he joins before the new season, play in the pre season games and if they’re good enough put them in the first team well on the bench for experience as the wantaways such as bendtner and denilson.
