Arsenal Target Odemwingie As Possible Signing
wearethenorthbank.com understands that Peter Odemwingie is on Arsenal’s list of summer transfer targets.
Arsene Wenger has long been an admirer of Odemwingie and has now highlighted the West Brom striker as a possible transfer target.
With it seemingly likely that Arsenal will sell Nicklas Bendtner, Wenger is keen to strengthen an attack that has been heavily reliant upon Robin van Persie this season.
Odemwingie has scored 15 Premier League goals in a highly impressive debut season and has been watched several times by Arsenal scouts.
The Russia-born striker has a year left on his current contract although West Brom have an option to extend for a further year. It is believed that they are keen to offer Odemwingie, 29, an improved contract though as they are desperate to keep hold of their player of the season.
Odemwingie’s agent, David Omigie, recently told the Wolverhampton Express and Star that contract renegotiations are imminent, although stated until he signs nothing is certain:
“We are just waiting to hear from West Brom but things should start any moment now, hopefully in the next week or so.
“Peter is OK. He is very happy at West Brom and he will consider whatever is put on the table by them.
“No-one can say for sure what will happen in the future and things will become clearer in the days and weeks ahead.”
Yeeeeeeeesssssssss!!!!!! Get him NOW.
Go and get him
Wenger should go get him cause he is good and will be very happy to play in a club like arsenal.
We don’t need him at Arsenal because Chamakh is an African also. That means two of them will be out for six weeks in the winter of 2012 for the African Cup of Nations. Unless we sell Chamakh because he is better than Chamakh but the best for us now is Falcao. Wenger please go and get Falcao for us to help RVP.
Wenger should get Odemwingie, he will even score more goals with Arsenal. I believe he will be happy to sign for Arsenal.
