Arsenal Have ‘Turned The Corner’ – Ramsey

Arsenal’s king of Marseille, Aaron Ramsey believes the last gasp win at the Stade Velodrome could be the turning point for the Gunners.

Ramsey came off the bench to hit an injury time winner to take Arsenal to the top of their Champions League group and the Wales skipper now believes that his team can kick on from a poor start to the season.

‘We’ve not the greatest of starts but hopefully now we’ve turned a bit of a corner and we’re getting a few wins on the bounce,’ said Ramsey.

‘The past games we could have defended better as a team, so it’s a bit harsh just blaming it on the defence. I felt they were magnificent tonight because we had to keep it tight at the back and it paid off.

‘We’ve done well in Europe so far. We’ve got a few wins on the bounce so we just want to keep the momentum going.’

Ramsey started the game on the bench as his hamstring was tight following the international matches, and on Sunday he faces the team that inflicted the ankle break that halted his career – not that that fazes him.

‘I’ve played against them since. I’m fine it’s just another game – what happened before is in the past. I’m just looking forward to getting back out there and playing another game for Arsenal.’
